About the Service
Service Description
OCC Transport provides auxiliary lift assistance for approved Binghamton University students with disabilities. The service covers trips between residence and class. All vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts and staffed by trained operators.
When It Operates
Fall and spring semesters only, from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
How Trips Are Scheduled
- Semester-long trips are requested at the beginning of each semester.
- Additional on-call pickups are available based on scheduling.
- Each approved passenger is guaranteed at minimum one ride to class (without being late) and one ride back per day.
Eligibility
Eligibility for lift service is determined by the Director of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). Interested students should contact SSD directly to begin the approval process.
