General Information

Advance notice required: All charters must be arranged with the PR Coordinator at least 4 weeks or 20 full business days in advance. After confirming arrangements, the charter will be placed in pending status. If staff cannot be secured at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date, the PR Coordinator reserves the right to cancel the charter or perform it themselves. At that two-week mark, the PR Coordinator will contact and update all relevant parties regarding the charter's status — whether it will be accepted or denied.

Charter service is available to SA Organizations and Binghamton University affiliated groups on a first come, first served basis.

Vehicle Capacity

  • Blue Buses— 37 seated; up to 51 total with standing permitted on trips under 10 miles.
  • Green Shuttles— 18 passengers maximum; no standing allowed.

Restrictions

  • OCCT will not charter to New York City.
  • OCCT will not charter beyond New York State lines.
  • OCCT will not charter to private residences.
  • Unaffiliated groups require a 50% deposit at time of booking.

Late nite surcharge: +$10/hr for service beginning or ending after midnight. All rates are billed per hour.

Cancellation Policy

How to Request a Charter

  • Download the Charter Request Form (PDF), and fill it out completely.
  • Email the completed form to pr@occtransport.org.
  • Your charter will be placed in pending status after the PR Coordinator confirms the charter.
  • Staff availability is confirmed no later than 2 weeks before your trip date. You will be notified whether the charter is accepted or denied.
